This is one of the collages I will burn to a CD as part of the heART project.

Definitely cabin fever…
…and hormones. It truly stinks to be my age, I’ll tell you. My weekend is a waste as I’m not up to par from lack of sleep. That happens a lot and it’s not unusual for us older chicks. I’m trying to get crafting on my mind. There’s something that is on my Kirigami calendar that I want to make, but do you think I can find my stash of watercolor paper? Do you believe in praying to St. Anthony to help you find something?
Brian was telling Sean he’s going to miss him when he goes to State College. It’s something I don’t want to think about until a month or so before it actually happens. If he keeps it up for 8 months, he’ll drive us both crazy.
Got a goodie in the mail-a camera case for our new camera from an eBay seller (good price). It’s a Samsonite and really nice-everything fits but it’s a bit weighty. Now I can go ‘walk it off’, whatever it is, at Longwood Gardens and other places around here. I don’t mind going alone sometimes. I figure if I go enough, I’ll get to know people at the gardens.
Darn-I forgot all about Photo Hunt this week. I may surprise ya later after my nap.
Back to looking…or sleeping.
St. Anthony of Padua
Patron Saint of Lost Items
Dianne, Dianne look around.
Something’s lost and must be found.
I’m praying that you find what you’re looking for.
Grrrr…hey…it’s $7!
You know that big powerball game that was 240 million dollars Wednesday night? We matched 3 out of 5, but not the blasted powerball! And one of them was my lucky number-19 (for obvious reasons-my b/d).
I edited my original post. I thought it was $21, but Bri already cashed in the ticket and it was only $7…bummer. Someone in Missouri has a very thick wallet today.
The postman always rings…
…more than once for me! I’m still celebrating my birthday 10 days later thanks to AnneMarie from the Netherlands and my friend Angela from N.Y.
Here are the surprises from AnneMarie. What a wonderful stitcher and a perfect finisher she is!
The Prairie Schooler is my favorite cross stitch designer, so AM did a black bird autumnal design for me. The book is a pretty DMC one featuring fruits. The two kinds of fabric will be well utilized. Thanks so much AM! I’ll send you off one of my special collage cards soon.
Today a package came from Angela. She had designed 3 gorgeous scrapbook pages for me! One for my birthday, one for Cosmo the cat and one with a Victorian flair. I’ll add some photos and share with you.
I am making some goodies in the form of gifts. The glue isn’t cooperating, but I plan to make 6 on these ‘items’ to start off with. I don’t want to say what they are, but I’ll show you in a couple of weeks. I put on James Taylor’s Cmas cd and went to town. That’s the best medicine. : )

I ran across this at Rocks in my Dryer. Shannon wanted to know some cool Christmas ideas. I would say the Christmas Memory Book I did about 11-12 years ago was pretty neat. I went through my mom’s photos and added many of my own to the collection. I made nice scrapbook like pages on 8.5″ x 11″ paper. I went from when my siblings and I were little to when our kids were little. I asked each family member what their best memory of Christmas was. I got some interesting answers! Everyone had their own page which I typed up and used different fonts for everyone. I got enough copied for all my brothers and our mom and put them in red plastic report folders that I decorated with sparkly snowflake stickers. I still look at mine!
Flea Circus
This is hysterical….The FLEACIRCUS…the show must go on. The ‘acts’ are in the gray pull down.
Spark-if life was a box of chocolates…
If life truly were a box of chocolates — or any selection of sweets and other simple treats — what kind would you be?
Dark chocolate? White chocolate? Something minty, or filled with caramel, or marshmallow or fruit or coconut? Or would you be a pastry, or cookie, or some other type of tasty snack? Why? Be creative, and don’t be afraid to stretch in illustrating those parallel traits.
How does that contrast to the type of dessert your spouse or significant other would be? How about your parents, or your friends?
I would be a creamy milk, melt-in-your-mouth like Dove or Godiva chocolate kind of gal. Better than Hersheys, more silky and some that you would ‘linger’ over before you swallowed it. Almonds are nice, but too fussy for my chocolate. Or I would be a nice, light chocolate mousse-whipped to perfection.
My spouse, well he would be a box of black licorice bits or chocolate covered pretzels-more masculine I think. My mom would be a Hershey bar as I see her nibbling on a large one. My son is definitely M&Ms as they seem to disappear when he is around. My friend Karin is Belgium chocolates and my friend Barb is chocolate covered toffee. Terri is chocolate chip cookies- (they all sent the above as gifts to me, so they have to be that kind of chocolate!)
