A little color
Photo Hunt-drink
First of all-Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I don’t have any corned beef and cabbage to cook as I couldn’t get out yesterday. Maybe I can have some tomorrow or Monday.
The following photo is yet another Flower Show one-this was an award winning display-that’s a keg decorated with flowers and there is a hose and a tap that leads to a cup. Interesting, don’t you think?

Need a little springtime…
…right this very minute-we are expecting a mix of different weather-snow and rain and all that fun stuff. My van is inspected and fine. : )
Please note that I added a ton more flower show photos to my Flickr album which has two clickable links in my side bar.
So here are some spring-like photos….
The inviting entrance to the flower show
This reminded me of Naturegirl’s lovely arrangements-so this is for her and I love African violets too!
A big tree tied with scarves and decorated with fishbowls of cut flowers-Gerbera daisies?
Some more shots
Sean and I are headed up to Lancaster. Target owes him money for being overcharged on buying a t-shirt that he didn’t. We need to birthday shop for Brian a bit too. We will probably get him a new cellphone. He wants a gigantic can of Virginia peanuts from Reading Glass Factory.
Here are some more flower show photos. One is a gown with orchids on a mannequin (Brian took this) and of a design in a garden bed filled in by glass in the harp garden (you can see it a bit there)-I guess it’s smooth on the edges. ; )
More Philly shots
Philly Flower Show-127 photos later
We had a nice time at the flower show today. We got to eat at the Reading Terminal Market and utilize the new camera to it’s fullest capacity. I won’t show you all 120+ photos, but here are a few of my favorites:
Brian and me at the entrance to ‘The Legends of Ireland’ Flower show. Mom and Sean were with us and he took this photo. (Um, Di pull your top down in the front there!)
A gorgeous arrangement and silver-what a combo!
Looks what’s at the Flower Show!
Someone from my hometown owns these critters! I hope I can see them in person at the Flower show! The theme is Ireland, but the dinosaur exhibit got ‘best of show’.
From the PFS site:
Who thought the Flower Show could be so…ferocious? These life-like dinosaurs are the same ones used on a promotional tour of the popular Jurassic Park movies and now they’re here at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Theresa Rowan of J. Franklin Styer Nurseries says that designing a prehistoric playground for these creatures was a far cry from Styer’s first Philadelphia Flower Show exhibit over 100 years ago. Says Theresa, “Back then, it was just an arrangement of mums!”
I told you I could…
Awesome wallpaper for your puter
Ok, okay…off to bed…but found these gorgeous floral and outdoor wallpapers from a local nursery called Waterloo Gardens. Thought I’d share.

Done my share of putting ‘stuff’ away yesterday. The tree is up in the attic. It won’t have to go up there is we clean our basement-geez. I brought a few bags of Christmas stuff to sort upstairs and a box of ornaments too. Not that I feel much like looking at holiday items again. Brian didn’t say much about what I did in the basement and it is an improvement in my eyes-thanks Bri. : (
And it only took him a year to figure out that if he turned the knob under this computer chair that it would tighten it up! I tried a few weeks ago, but I guess he really had to turn it.
Off to grocery shop tomorrow-oh joy.
