What gives you hope?
People who inspire me to look forward to the future. For example, how nice was it that with all the millions of  people at President Obama’s Inauguration, not one got arrested. That gives me tremendous hope for a more united country.

How often do you get your haircut? Describe your worst haircut.
About every 5 weeks I get a trim. Worst haircut-after our honeymoon in Cancun, my permed hair was fried, so I had to get a really short cut. I never got my hair permed again. I’ve had more than one bad cut over the years-oh-my grandmom cut my bangs too wide once and the girls were making fun of them in high school.

What’s your most treasured piece of jewelry? Why?
My engagement ring-because it’s one of my oldest pieces that I still wear. It was purchased at Sydney Rosen’s jewelry store on jeweler’s row in Philadelphia back in November,1982 so Brian could give it to my for my 23rd birthday. It’s a .33 round cut diamond with two round emeralds on each side. I went to have it cleaned a few years back and an emerald or two fractured-they are very delicate stones, so they were replaced with lab manufactured ones. Back in the early 80s, fine gems were popular for engagement rings and Princess Diana had a sapphire and Sarah, Duchess of York had a ruby.

You can play along too here.
1. Obama tattoos. What do you think of people who got one?
It’s their skin-if they like needles, more power to them. From another perspective-they are surely marking history in a mostly permanent way.
2. How many blogs do you read a day, and do you always comment?
Depends-yesterday, hardly any. Tonight maybe about 5 or so. I do try to comment as the mentioned 5 almost always do on my blog.
3. Do you know to swim?
I can, could be better. I do a mean back float.
4. Describe your favorite shirt.
It’s pale pink, a small ribbed double knit with long sleeves. It has a little sew in it (I darned a hole) and it is really comfy.
5. What is one thing that is ALWAYS on your grocery list? Extra points for imagination and creativity.
The second part doesn’t really go with the first-you know what you buy. I guess you mean other than milk or eggs. Hmmmm….how about Mini Pringles (I share them with the cat). Have you seen how cute a mini Pringle is?
6. Have you ever done any acting?
Personal life-yes! Ha-to get my own way?! I had a Play Production class in high school. I’m trying to remember if Paul DiMeo, the carpenter from ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ was in it-really! I did do a few scenes, one of which I was pregnant!
7. I just made a delicious smelling dinner with mystery meat. Will you have some?
No thank you… I just said I was ‘this close’ to being a vegetarian except hamburgers are so good!
8. If you are driving in the rain and you see a person walking along the road, do you intentionally try to splash them? No-if I didn’t like them, it’s a possibility.
9. Yearbooks- do you still have any from school? Of course! I remember many of my former classmates and have over 30 as Facebook pals.
10. What kind of shampoo do you use? Mostly Garnier Fructis in the lime green bottle.
11. And just to counter Ber’s first question from last week…. What’s the hottest temps you have experienced? Hmmmm…at least 103.

Having some family issues yet again. Looks like mom is agreeing to help and things will be a-changing.
Bri was not feeling well at all on Wed., jittery, short of breath and came home early. He went to the doctor’s and today is getting a chest x-ray! He doesn’t smoke or is around smokers. I haven’t really seen him gasping for air, but he says he feels funny. I think he is exhausted from not sleeping well and the anxiety over his dad lately. Wish him well.

We had a few inches of powdery snow yesterday. I went out and got some fresh air and took the little camera around for snaps. As I was uploading my first patch, we had a gorgeous peachy sunset:
A gorgeous peachy sunset

I did more basement organizing-the dust is so bad I was coughing with a dust mask on!
I’ll be doing a post on this special day-sure of it!

Questions found here
What do you do to make yourself feel better when you are sick?
If I’m bedridden, I cry. It’s a good stress reliever. If I have a rotten cold-it’s staying in my PJs and have someone wait on me. Don’t worry, neither of the above happen that often-knock wood.

What is the most amazing weather you’ve ever seen?
Mayan Ruins
In Cancun, Mexico. It was so balmy and warm in April when we went there almost 25 yrs ago. Florida in May is pretty decent too. (this is a shot of Tulum, nearby)

Do you listen to music or talk radio in the car?
I stick to WJBR 99.5 Wilmington, DE. I’ve listened to it for years and actually got through to answer a question about George C. Scott which won us tickets to a show at the Grand Opera House-this was about 11 yrs ago. Sean and I had to pick up the tickets, so we met the DJ, Paul Lewis, who was on the air at the time too. We bought an extra ticket so all three of us could go. I believe it was the music of Cole Porter, a bit different for us, but nice.

By the way, the Eagles lost Sunday-at least they made it that far!
