This is all I have

A slow day because I did so much before noon! Not a morning gal, but Sean wanted to get his car early to go work out at the ‘Y’. So we got the car at 11:15 (which is early for me), then I went to the produce place, the drugstore, Acme and McDonalds all before 12 struck. And you know it wasn’t as crowded at the above places then. ; )

Looking for a green snack
Working on another cross stitch UFO called ‘A Walk in the Woods’ even though I cut the fabric too short and can’t add the second violet border. I completely forgot it had two until I saw the ‘repeat above design here’. It will look fine without it. I’m excited about getting the final project for the Neighborhood Round Robin that my pals and I have been working on. I hope to have it by the middle to end of June.

Keeping a low profile

WackoJust to let you know I’m here, but have a bladder infection and am on an antibiotic. I haven’t slept well for 4 nights-like reminscient of when Sean was a newborn. I can’t get any good rest as I’ve been visiting the bathroom almost hourly, but mostly only during the night.  I really think this has been working on me for weeks and I ignored it. Hopefully the med will help. Sean needs someone to go to a classical music concert with for his music course. I’d wish he’d ask a young lady, but I need to get better for at that too. ; )

The weather is like summer today. I am wearing shorts and had Mr. Cos out for a walk. It’s really too warm to even rake if I had felt like it.

So that’s my story. I’m hoping for a restful night tonight.

Things are better

I was so glad that my Reiki in training pal said she sent me chakras for over the course of 12 hours yesterday as it was a rough day. I do feel calmer today. Thanks Lisa!

The furnace/heater is going to be cheaper than anticipated. The salesman made a funny remark why we shouldn’t get the super duper model, like our house is only worth so much and not like the houses down in Hockessin (probably 250k and up). I guess he wanted to save us money. The new heater is going in Tuesday if all goes well. They got a deposit today. We have a little more basement cleaning to do. What I did a few days ago shows, so at least having repair is one way of getting that area tidied up.

Mom said I can help her sort stuff after pleading with her again. This time I used Peter Walsh’s approach (professional de-clutterer from The Learning Channel)-you hoard because you may need it some day (that’s me and mom) or for memories sake. You have to get practical when you are in your 70s-hold on to what you really love. Mom didn’t look good at all yesterday and I want her to be happier.

So I am pleased with my eBay sales of late. Seems my books are really popular. The barn sale is on again on the 30-31st, so you know I’ll be there as that’s where I bought the lastest good sales.

I had the cat out for his first walk of the year. He was so curious. He couldn’t believe another creature would leave their droppings in ‘his’ yard-he acted so disgusted.

Well, I am making Bri a nice dinner tonight as he’s been neglected of good eats for a few nights. I’m cooking up some steaks and tators. : )

Since Dawn received her gifts, I thought you’d like to see what I made for her:

She loves snowmen, so I stitched up a snowlady! The snow is clear beads.
Cat embellished photo album
She likes kitties too. I used my trusty old desk calendar yet again! Nothing goes to waste. See Cos on there too?
And last but no where near least is this beautiful stained box with the top that was stitched and finished by Becky—->

I won it!

She filled it with lovely floss and I always need it as I stitch a bunch for charity. The funny thing is I call Sean my ‘good egg’ and made a ATC for him with that expression. He is my only child. ; )

My cat seems to be the purrfect subject matter for Photo Hunt lately. My son Sean took this of Cosmo’s pretty striped/lined tail. Brian took the one of Cosmo last week in the Santa hat. It’s this or the curtain. If I see anything better, I’ll post it-but enjoy the hairy lines. : )
