milkweed tussock moth caterpillar on the wrong plant to have a snack, originally uploaded by DianthusMoon.
Seems the monarch butterfly like the tender shoots of the milkweed and these guys don’t mind eating the tougher leaves of the milkweed.

Greasy-a breakfast I ate 5 yrs ago that I wouldn’t touch now-Scrapple (piggie parts) and greasy potatoes. I will eat eggs and bacon about once a week.
I’ve never seen that type of caterpillar before, how neat! As for that greasy breakfast, I’ve never even heard of Scrapple but now that you’ve explained what it is, I have no desire to try it! lol xoxo
Too bad Scrapple is very tasty when it is cooked nice and crispy.
