Thriving tomato patch

I’m happy to report that we have tons of tomatoes on the vines this year! They are mostly Beefsteak. We moved them to the opposite side of the garden. Today, yours truly was tying them up and quite surprised by how many I saw. Last year we happen to get tomatoes that had the blight and I think by this time we had to tear them all out as the fruit and plants rotted. Last Fall I planted some lettuce and things in their place, didn’t get a lot, but it was something new to try. We have a sea of Zucchini, Green Beans and Cucumbers there now. We’ve only gotten about 4 Cucumbers and 1 little Zucchini. I had a Zucchini/Bacon Frittata for dinner tonight-yummy!

  1. It looks like you may be doing some canning this year! I can’t wait for a fresh tomato sandwich. I will have to get mine at the farmer’s market since I don’t grow them.
