Dianne in the Sunflowers

We finally got around to seeing the 500,000+ sunflowers that Longwood Gardens planted along Schoolhouse Road near the main gardens. They are heavy with seeds now and it’s a field of green instead of a field of yellow. I was a bit disappointed. They aren’t really tall either as I am almost 5’3″ and they are about 10″ or so shorter than me.
It’s a warm day today. I need to do some errands to see if I can find a few little things for mom’s big day tomorrow. We are planning on taking her to the casino about 10 minutes from her house for their buffet. Sean is getting a cold, has a sore throat today. I hope it’s not much of one!
I was looking into getting a room down at the beach this weekend as it’s the gathering of my h.s. pals, but not sure if things will work out. I just want to get through mom’s birthday first. : )

  1. Oh, too bad that those sunflowers are drooping their big yellow heads. I think they are a good height, as I never really liked the super tall ones.

I have to say that you look pretty bright and cheerful in that field of green!
