I visited Longwood Gardens yesterday and it was a sea of early spring color-lots of purple! This patch of purple hyacinths under a cone shaped evergreen caught my eye.

Wonderful….. I love Longwood Gardens, although I was only able to visit once… a very long time ago. And hyacinths… my favorite flower.

I don’t know who said this but I had it on a decoupage plaque once and it has always been a favorite.

Lovely sea of hyacinths. Were they fragrant? I can’t wait to get some blooms here–probably still 3 weeks away.
