I visited Longwood Gardens yesterday and it was a sea of early spring color-lots of purple! This patch of purple hyacinths under a cone shaped evergreen caught my eye.

Another among the beautiful flowers I visited today…they just look so pretty together. Happy weekend!
Very lovely…I haven’t seen purple hyacinths for real yet!
Wonderful photo of hyacinths. In my neck of the Ozarks hyacinths have diffuculty growing to their full beauty–in soil of nothing but rock! Carol (Nitwit1)
great purple!
Wonderful….. I love Longwood Gardens, although I was only able to visit once… a very long time ago. And hyacinths… my favorite flower.
If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft,
And from thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left,
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul. ~ unknown
I don’t know who said this but I had it on a decoupage plaque once and it has always been a favorite.
My purple is here.
Beautiful purple hyacinths! Cool tree also. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my photohunt post 🙂
Lovely sea of hyacinths. Were they fragrant? I can’t wait to get some blooms here–probably still 3 weeks away.
How exciting to get beautiful books half off. I, too, love a good bagain like that.
That’s beautiful purple hyacinths! Thanks for the comment.
I also used a photo of hyacinths in my PhotoHunt. Aren’t they pretty? I love how they look all together in your photo.
