My husband Brian and I were in Kmart on Thursday and I started to snoop around the floral/plants and found a table of orchids. I’ve been interested in orchids since I was given one by Brian and it bloomed for me. It must be my fairly new garden window in the kitchen that helps them along. I decided to get this peachy color one. Now I have three!

This one is blooming again (this is an old photo), but the edges of the leaves are browning. Need to give it some TLC. Bought two from Longwood, only this made it.

Gift from Brian about 3 yrs ago.

Wish Brian luck as he has to have two procedures in outpatient on Tuesday-an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Hope to get to the ‘bottom’ of his issues. When my mom had her colonoscopy, I took her out to lunch. I hope Bri feels like eating too. I’m happy to say he has been eating better the last few days.

I love the orchid…I’ve never tried to grow one but I do love them…your’s is beautiful…good luck to hubby…
He’ll feel like eating; he’ll be starving! Happy Show and Tell Friday. Here’s mine:

Breathtaking!!!!!! I have purchased an orchid plant or two, but they’ve never survived in my home…
My Show n Tell is some of my treasured roses and amaryllis this week. Come by and enjoy the sweet fragrance and beauty.
Happy Friday.
Your flowers are so lovely! Thank you so much for sharing your touch of spring with us.

Orchids are a beautiful flower.
I hope Hubby comes through his tests fine. Glad he’s feeling better.
I have no luck whatsoever with orchids. Yours are beautiful!
Blessings

I’ve never bought an orchid but think they are beautiful and your’s are lovely. Believing for a good report for your husband’s tests.

The orchid is very pretty.
I don’t think I have ever had one. I need a nice window like you have to keep them in.
What precious and beautiful flowers. Your pictures are great!
I have added your hubby to my prayers list…Julie
Dianne..
The orchids are beautiful .. I can never get them to live for me. Will keep Brian in my prayers and pray that everything turns out well.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a Blessed Weekend.

Wishing Brian well with his upcoming tests. Take care!!
Your orchids are beautiful. My daughter gave me a live pink one for Mothers Day one year. While the flowers lasted a good while, alas, the finally were gone. I purchased a stem of silk orchid and put it in the live leaves of the orchid. You really could not tell, they were silk, since the dirt and leaves were real.
Saw on a google search a plate with cupcakes on it that you made… I’m L@@King for a plate like that which says “You are Special”…
Might you remember where you purchased it?
Visiting you via Kelli’s Show and Tell blog train!
Your Orchids are STUNNING – my Mr. would be green w/ envy at you! He loves orchids, we try to grow them but my thumb is anything but green.
Thanks for showing us!
Your flowers are so pretty! Beautiful!
Hope the procedures go well. Those are never fun.
Such beautiful orchids, that’s a plant I’ve never bought before but I have seen them in WalMart so maybe one day I’ll splurge and get one:-) Good luck to Brian on his procedures! My mom has to have a colonoscopy every two years and really hates them, she finds them painful. Yet, other people say it doesn’t bother them so hopefully Brian will be fine:-) xoxo
Your orchids are goregous! I’m not a plant person (that’s my husband’s job!), so I enjoy what others can grow. Thank you for sharing it.
Lovely orchids, thanks for sharing. I blogged about my colonoscopy last fall … pop by and read it to Brian, hopefully he’ll laugh (I know YOU will :o) I was wide awake for mine and it wasn’t even uncomfortable. Maybe that’s the women do childbirth thing, but I was drugged for both of my c-sections.
Here’s my hint for Brian, to help him drink all the prep stuff, IF it’s the kind that’s powdered and has to be mixed. I mixed mine with Crystal Light sugar free lemonade, and had no problem drinking it throughout the day. No calories, and nothing syrupy or icky tasting at all. Highly recommended.

Beautiful! I love orchids, but I can never get them to grow.
Wow, you must be really good with flowers! I’ve tried 3 times to grow orchids and haven’t had any luck!
