You’ve heard enough about my sofa and it came home today all fixed forever (I hope!)
It’s a pretty thing isn’t it? Look, a cross stitching magazine on the coffee table! Are you not surprised? And please ignore the record lps jammed in next to it (Brian!)
My little ‘Home Sweet Home’ pillow says it all.

A teddy for Joanna
We know all children are special. Love Quilts makes at least 20 quilts for the children each year. I first sent a card to Joanna through Make A Child Smile and received the sweetest thank you note from her and her mom (thanks Lorie). I connected with her sweet face and a teddy was in the works. Here it is, just washed within the hour.

Garden party dress
Darn that Daniel is good! It’s the second week in a row that he won. There is fabric under the dress. Read what Tim, their guide says about it at bravo. What are the purple flowers, orchids-like flowers?
A ghostly night
A brief explanation of each photo. This is untouched. I still have the original on the camera. The second shot is a zoom in of the orb.
Your name- Dianne C.
The type camera used. (35mm, digital, etc.)-Canon Powershot s30
Where the photo was taken , PA- in my backyard at 6-7 pm in the middle of July, 2005. I had been out there taking photos of the butterfly bush seen in the photo.
Were there any other significant occurrences at the time the photo was taken? (i.e., meter readings, sensations, cold spots, etc.)
Just the last part of the day. Not really paying attention to the bench in the shot. The bench is plastic and doesn’t have any reflection value. The bench is about 6-7 feet from the window. There are no pink things in that area. I have a glazing ball, but it has a pale yellow crackled finished glass and not in this direct area. I went out at the same time in the following day or so and tried to replicate the photo and no orb showed up. The flash did go off in this shot.. I was about 15 or so feet away from the bench and was using the zoom. I have never seen anything else like this in any of my other photos taken with this camera.
What is the known history of the location where this photo was taken? (i.e., historical, folklore, personal experiences, etc.)
The previous owner (a man) died in the house.
Weather conditions at the time of the photo. (rain, fog, clear, etc.)
Pretty clear, not really hot if I recall.
Can we post your e-mail address or website (if available) with the photo description? Yes.
Here is the close-up of the photo, I call it my fairy bubble. There is nothing pink around the yard in that area and my back was to the sun. It looks like it has landed on the edge of the bench.

Sean was looking at an abandoned hospital where there are about 8-9 webcams set up. I had seen these site before and swear I saw an apparition at one time. Here is Sean’s capture screen. When I had this in PSP to cut out the section we wanted, the middle part definitely had more ‘smeared pixels’ and green and purple blotches.
I circled roughly where I see a face. At first we saw a figure, but I definitely see hollowed eyes and a mouth. It’s rather like that Victorian drawing of the lady sitting at a dressing table-do you see a lady brushing her hair or do you see a skull? It’s what your mind sees in these kinds of photos.

So then he almost feel off the chair when he saw this on a Hell’s Kitchen webcam in an old apartment building:

Not to worry, this hollow-eyed green apparition ‘shows up’ about every 10 minutes. Very funny, right?
We did watch the Gettysburg battlefield one pointing into McPherson’s woods. There was a red dot for a while and then two small dots. Maybe a raccoon or something, but it was pitch black.
Local resident in Olympics!
Hometown man Eric Bernotas is a skeletoner at the Olympics in Torino, Italy this year. He rides on a sled, belly down racing 80 mph. Sounds very dangerous to me. He lives around here, but he is originally from the town that Brian grew up. I’ll let you know when he races as they usually have a profile on the person competing. Maybe they came around this area. : )
Flowers for you
Thought I’d share with you my $1.98 bouquet. It’s actually two bunches that were 99¢ each. One reason I like this particular grocery store. It was even pretty without the yellow spider mum.Stitching Blogger question
The question was: Do I have stitching pals outside of blogland or the internet?
I have met a few pals, Vikki and Mindy but we don’t stitch together. We are trying to get a group together to meet near our favorite LNS.
Project Runway Barbies

I just started watching this show (like I need another show to get involved in, the guys roll their eyes). I have always like Barbies and have a collection which is mostly jammed in my back room. I need to take another look at them and whittle down the collection to maybe just designer Barbie brides or fashion designer ones. That being said, I ran across Runway Barbies through a tribe group. I didn’t catch this episode, but I believe Nick, the winner’s, is going to be mass produced.
Barb and me are the same age. How come she isn’t saggy yet? LOL
A nice surprise
Brian came home with this still in it’s big manila mailer. I love surprises! It is a new edition of Longwood Gardens-100 years of Garden Splendor. Longwood sent a complimentary copy of it to the paper where Bri works with a blurp for the paper. The guy that works with Bri asked if he wanted it and Bri took it. So he actually didn’t buy it for me, but I really had a nice time last night thumbing through it’s pages. Knowing that the Gardens has been around over 50 yrs before I have even made an appearance on earth is awesome by seeing it through the photos.
This is where Sean and I went last month. I am trying to devise an exercise program and LG was in my head. I was thinking about getting a yearly pass and going there to walk . If I take my camera or sketch pad, I could really utilize my time there. And it’s less than 10 minutes away. Wonder if there is a walking group I could join?
