Taken out windows or doors. Just the beginning of it-we may get 15-18″ of the white stuff. This is the most snow we’ve had in the Philadelphia area since 1909! Another year was 1966 when my mom was 8.5 months pregnant with my brother who came on Jan. 8th 1967. Thank goodness the roads were clear by then! I remember snow drifts reaching to the second floor of the house!

Photo Hunt-Fast
Take out of the window of the Delaware River on the way to NJ.Good camera I guess-too bad I got the lovely green pole in the shot!
21 vintage cards of children
I was snooping around eBay the other day and came across an auction for these cards. The seller originally wanted $35 for 21. He had other auctions for ephemera and stated ‘only a $1 each. So this photo auction had 21 cards and I offered him ‘a $1 each’ and he took the offer! Yeah. I got them Thursday. The seller put each in a baseball card sleeve. I plan to scan them and use them in my collage are. I felt like I got an early Christmas gift. : )
Diadsie Who and the Grinch
Thought you’d like to see me with my ‘Who’ hat on. : )
The tree has more ornaments on it too.
My 1st Christmas 1959
Having fun with an old photo!
Mom and her kids Christmas 1968
My brother found yet another photo album in my mom’s basement. It happened to be one all about her that I put together several years ago. I thought this looked kinda of retro. I am 9 here, Don is 8 and Ken is almost 2. That is a cardboard fireplace behind us. Don had made a Christmas tree out of shell pasta (glued on oak tag which was also spray painted gold), which he was very proud of. I think our oldest brother Dave, age 14 probably took the photo.
Amaryllis and Christmas lights
Here’s a lovely amaryllis that Brian gave me for my birthday a few weeks ago. It got so tall it is falling over! Looks like I’m getting plenty of blooms too.
Photo Hunt-Curved
This was taken at the Brandywine River Museum back at the Andrew Wyeth tribute in January. Hard to believe it’s been almost a year ago! The museum has three main floors and the the middle area is a round stair area and some cut out areas. So this is my curved photo. : )
Domestic Goddess Angel for Art & Soul
My most recent project.
Photo Hunt-Technology
So, this was a difficult challenge to me. I decided to go back a few days to my trip to Winterthur Museum in Delaware and show you the old-fashioned way that fabric was made-in a loom. Can you imagine threading that and cranking it back and forth all day? I know the modern machines, which are probably also looms are run the same way, but I bet the can make yards of fabric in a matter of minutes.
Another thing I have to be thankful to technology for is the internet. A lady who was on the tour with me that day found me on Flickr and left me a message! How neat was that?
