I actually had Sean take this for Facebook since so many of my former classmates are on there. Mom gave me back my formal portrait when she was cleaning. I can’t get it to upload right now to FB, so I’d thought I’d share here-taken back in about July, 1976 when Farrah Fawcett’s ‘wing’ hairdo was all the rage.

Photo Hunt-Spots
This is a gorgeous spotted orchid I photographed at Longwood Gardens. Right now their annual Orchid Show is going on and I need to high tail it over there and take some new photos. I have until the end of March, and I am waiting on a nice week day when it isn’t as crowded and I plan to go a few times (I have a pass). I’m just fascinated by orchids. I have about 3 and when they decide to bloom, they bloom at least a month or more.
Photo Hunt-Balance
This was taken at the Winterthur Museum at the end of November. What a fascinating place to see some fine Americana. This is the Statue of Justice or Lady Justice. The scales she is holding are suppose to be balanced, but these are a bit off! : )

Out with the old…
Ran across this on Flickr. The only college dorm I ever lived in back in about 1981-1982. The 3rd and 5th floor on the right. Terrible roommates-left before the end of my second year as I had had it with a Math Theory class and I met my future husband. Later learned that they dumped the class as so many people couldn’t pass it.
Update for Zoey-though Brian did attend and graduate from West Chester U, he’s a few years older and I didn’t meet him until he attended the marriage of his first cousin to my brother back in June of 1982!
Photo Hunt-Bulky
Here’s a late entry. I was trying to wrap my head around the theme and finally remembered how I use to bundle Sean up in the winter in his bulky snowsuit. Most times he squirmed like a worm too. He’s just over one here. I had to beg him to put the hood up on his jacket the other night!
Close up hummingbird fountain
I thought this was so neat with the water droplets caught in midair.
Dianne and ice skaters from show
They gave a great performance in this bitter cold. They had a ‘meet and greet’ and most of the people were too cold to stay. We said ‘why not?’
They were all really nice. Jazmyn goes to the University of Delaware where many skaters train.
Kevin Sun(16 yrs old), Dirke Baker(26 yrs old) and Jazmyn Manzouri (21 yrs old).
A patchwork of flowers
Sean and I braved the bitter cold so we could see the excellent Christmas display at Longwood Gardens today. It was worth wearing 3 layers of clothes (I should have worn long johns too) to see this. There were pale yellow poinsettia, red begonias, moss, maybe ivy on the sides and painted upside down pine cones. Gorgeous! We had also purchased tickets to see the ice show. They’ve had the show a few years and we’ve never seen it. It was only 20 minutes, but I don’t know how the two young ladies stood the cold. I have a photo of me with them that Sean took in a meet and greet. Will share when I upload it to Flickr.
Photo Hunt-Lick
Ok, almost forgot to do this and my photo is a long stretch. This flower is a ‘Painted Tongue’ and it is ‘licked’ with gorgeous colors.
2010 Mummers New Year’s Day Parade
We don’t go to the parade and I can’t remember watching it on tv for a while. My one friend has been involved with one of the groups for several years. I have to admit they are a crafty group of people. The only thing-all string instruments-you have to really like this kind of music. They weren’t sure if the parade would go on, but it did. Check out this photographer’s other photos.
