Land that I love

Standard

This is a collage of areas in PA that I love. I’ve never traveled further than the State college area. In this collage-the background is the Delaware River(which has had all kinds of flooding problems lately); the Poconos, New Hope (also flooded); Philadelphia with the Liberty Bell , Art Museum and the bronzed ‘imprints’ of Rocky’s boxing shoes; southeastern PA where I live and rounding the bend is Lancaster, PA. Can you see Sean and me in there? Sean is actually in Delaware. I am at Longwood Gardens near here.
We are going to eat soon. I made red potato salad, cucumber and tomato salad, fruit salad and Chocolate lava cupcakes-like Curtis Stone made on his show ‘Take home chef’, but not as nice. These will be good with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip. We are also having burgers and hot dogs-what else?
We had a storm go through here around 3. We were going to have mom here, but it’s too hot for her to travel (her car’s a/c is shot).

For Zoey

So much to chose from it was a difficult collage. I can say you like purples and reds. What’s here was posted on your blog over the last few months. Right click to make it as big as possible, then save. Thanks for letting me post it here. Over at Cosmo’s blog (sidebar) I made a kitty wallpaper to share. I wonder why my head is hurting today. Hmmm. ; )

For Pea…

I can’t seem to look at your blog and post. Here’s what I’ve been trying to leave you in the comment section:
I love your old photos and stories. You were a sweet little girl. I am one of 4 and the only girl and second oldest. My brother under me, whose only a year younger, were very close. I haven’t seen him in over 4 yrs as he lives in Florida.
I’ve been getting knocked off the internet every time when I come visit. I think it’s the Tom Petty video at the bottom.

Here’s a Patriotic collage too…

And a Ford Mustang one I made for Brian:

I’m taking requests! It’s just to hot to do anything outside.
We had steak on the grill-the panini/grill I just bought and it was good! Sean is working at Big Lots so much. He ran home for dinner and I had his food already for him. He now has a bank account and will be getting a debit card. Is he an official grownup now?

Summertime collage

I made this for you, my pals in mind. Please feel free to click on this image to make it bigger and then right click to save it to your computer for wallpaper. I am totally hooked on making these! My mouse fingers were numb this morning! All the images below were obtained from Corbis.com.

Flowers at dusk

Standard
New rose that the Japanese beetles started to nibble.
Hydrangea-this hardly bloomed last year and I love the blue!‘Easter’ lilies
This was knocked to the ground from all the rain. I tucked it inbetween the hedge that it is under. I guess it appreciated that! : )

This blooming was a pleasant surprise! And it smells heavenly.

We went to Wally World for more English box hedge. I am buying about 4-5 at a time. We planted the 8 I have previously purchased. They look good around the circle! I also bought millet-reduced to under $2.00 (I got 2) and some jasmine. I love that too. I don’t have much luck with jasmine and similar non-hardy plants, but for $6, I can enjoy it for a few months.

Sean worked from 2 and finishes at 10. He is going to the movies afterwards. Too late for me. Brian and I went up to the next town for a burger and a panini (Bri got pork and turkey). We ran into parents of an former classmate of Sean’s and they were very nice. Their daughter, who I remember as a 4-5 yr old is now about 14 with a boyfriend!
