This is a water attraction at Longwood Gardens called the Eye of Water. As you can see, the water ‘ripples’ out of the iris part and flows over the blue pupil part. This photo is in mostly the shade. People toss coins on it too.
I have to chuckle as the sign says -‘rippleless’ when you can clearly see ripples. Maybe because it’s 41 yrs old. : )

What a unique fountain. I’m sure it was rippleless 41 years ago, I think it is more interesting with them myself. Thanks for sharing your shot.
