I’m a bit late and this was just photographed yesterday at the Penn State Palmer Museum of Art. I didn’t have a pencil to write down names of the artists and when they were painted, but the campus has an awesome collection.

I’m a bit late and this was just photographed yesterday at the Penn State Palmer Museum of Art. I didn’t have a pencil to write down names of the artists and when they were painted, but the campus has an awesome collection.
I love the Renaissance paintings in Florence and many were both of this theme and in this style. My favorite artist was Fillipo Lippi although Caravaggio came in a close second. Lovely painting.

I truly am in awe of the artists of the past when they paint lifelike portraits. What impatience they must possess!

really beautiful!! Isn’t it amazing that they were painted long long ago and yet still retain the beauty of the painting.
