My Kindergarten photo, originally uploaded by DianthusMoon. This was taken about 44 years ago. I feel bad I couldn’t remember everyone shown. I just uploaded all of these that I had (missing 1st grade), but if you check them out on Flickr, you can see I have a good memory. I am sticking out my tongue-I did when I smiled.

The old Sandy Bank School is now the Walden School. I remember sharing it in a Show and Tell a few months ago. We had our class in the basement-it was a hospital green and I so disliked the milk in the cartons and was forced to drink it. Our class room would turn into the cafeteria. I went to school here for K, 2nd and 3rd grades. There was a newer school down the road I attended for 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th grade.
I just saw three of the people here at my 30th reunion in Nov. ’07. The one lady lives a few miles away from me and I didn’t know it, we both live 20+ miles from this area now.

Could you take a second to send a sweet little girl named Haven a birthday card for her 5th birthday on the 26th? She’s the featured child on the ‘Make A Child Smile’ website (right side bar there) and she’s really sick.

Oh, how darling! What great pictures to have. My daughter did that tongue thing too – I always thought it was so cute!
How awesome that you have this! My dad has a couple but many have been lost.
My youngest son sticks his tongue out too! lol!
I did NOT like the milk either. Ever…still don’t like milk in a carton that is room temperature. Ewwwwwwwww. Cute, cute photo of you.
My Show n Tell is being BLUE today…come on over if you can. I’d love your company.
How cute your were (and are now) 🙂 Little sweetie!
Of course I’ll send a card. Doing it right now!
How sweet!
I just LOVE old school photos!!! They make me feel all sentimental. 🙂
Oh how sweet, memory lane!
What a treasure that you still have it. Remember how we all wore dresses for picture day? I was born the year you were in K, so I’m just a tad younger than you.
Milk. I only really liked it when it was half-frozen and I could pretend it was a milk-shake. I remember milk being about 15 cents per week when I was in K, as our teacher wanted us to bring the money in pennies so we could all count it.
Love your sidebar pic of the little girl and the green stove. I had one about like that and it made my day to see it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you have a great weekend!
Your photos are precious. I like your little tongue smiles.
School milk was yucky. I can only drink ice cold milk and it must be skim. Besides enduring the room temperature milk, I was teased for drinking blue carton milk. 🙂
Great photo, and great memories from your school days.
Thanks for sharing.
love your memories! Thanks for the link-have a great weekend:)
Awwwww look at you, how sweet you were!! Well, you’re still sweet but you know what I mean! lol You’ve got a good memory because even if I had class pictures, I wouldn’t remember anyone from back then! lol xoxo
How sweet!, I love old school photos. I hated shcool milk, thankfully it was phased out when I was in 2nd grade.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
Have a great week.
Milk in a carton is yucky! 🙂 What a super sweet photo of you though…and what fun to reminisce.
What neat memories and sweet photos. Thanks for sharing.
Your picture is so sweet!
And my school looked a lot like yours. I loved that small town school of mine:)

You were such a cutie!

How sweet ! what nice souvenirs even if you don’t remember the names ! I don’t have any pictures from Kindergarten, in Germany at that time all cities were in ruins, we just had something to eat and nobody had a camera of course !
what a cutie patootie! This needs to be your profile pic on FB, I think. 🙂
