Just learned on the news that legendary artist Andrew Wyeth passed on at 91. It’s an honor to live so close to Chadds Ford, PA and the land he painted. I’ve seen his art many, many times.

  1. Just want to say Hello.
We are working on the room that we use for an office.
Completely emptied it out. Painted it Rose Kiss, a deep rose color, I will have to send a photo. I am amazed the hubby picked it, he wanted it something colorful.
He picked up the floor from Lumber Liquidators, a wide plank rose color wood, and is starting to put it down.
Meanwhile the office stuff, including my ebay stuff is spread out about the house. Computers set up in the dining room.
I have been sewing a bit, trying to get some stuff done for Dena to put on Ebay for us. We have to recoup the money we have invested in fabric. I just took a cute size 4 toddler dress, Liz Claiborne for kids, and perked it up with some lace, made shorts for underneath, stole some trim from the dress for the shorts. I added cute Daisy Kingdom appliques around the skirt and one on the shorts to tie it all together, and made a corker ponytail holder. I have to work on some other Easter themed outfits.
I babysat for a bit today, for Jessica and Jason. Poor baby has a bit of congestion, and cries when he starts coughing.
But, he is so good natured, that he was trying to smile while he was coughing and crying. Joseph and Jessica shared a hot dog dinner with us tonight, we call it gourmet dining for a joke.
We did manage to get out for dinner last Sunday with a gift card from Restaurant.com. Kids gave it to us for our Anniversary. Had a great meal, brought home enough for me for the second night, as himself had a meeting. We ended up putting in $31. with the tax and tip. So I figure for $31. I got 3 nice meals.

I printed out a gift card from their site to another restaurant. The $25. gift card cost me $4.00. I will take the hubby out for his birthday with it.

First I went to a promo site couponcabin.com , and got a discount code, 60% off Restaurant.com . Restaurant.com cards are $10, so I only paid $4. This card is for a top notch restaurant, so you pretty much get one meal free, and purchase one. I don’t do it often, as we can eat at the diner for less, but sometimes you want to try something different.

So how are you? I am planning a Fancy Nancy Valentine Tea Party for Jessica and 3 of her friends and their moms.

She is excited and helped to make the invitations. I picked up a Valentine Bingo card set from Current, and the girls will make Valentine necklaces. So far I am thinking Bologne and Cheese cut in heart shapes. We are having Parfaits for dessert as that is what Fancy Nancy has in her book. I will decorate and put up my Valentine Tree.

I will let you know how it goes. Ciao, Angela

  2. I, too, heard the news & read obit in newspaper. There were a few articles on-line & some links to posters-prints. I have always been fond of his paintings & have a nice book with info-pictures. After I read the obit, I pulled out the book & have been re-reading. Didn’t he have a good eye?? And what creative talent.
