A bonsai forest, originally uploaded by DianthusMoon.Since ‘aftermath’ means-results, this is what I stopped on when I was going through my recent photos. Now Bonsai is definitely an art form and is achieved from the results of careful and tedious trimming and training of a variety of trees and bushes. I would say these are a white birch maybe? I didn’t get the name. These were under two feet tall. They don’t have their leaves as it’s the wintertime. I saw a photo on the web of it in full green tiny leaf that I can’t seem to share here. There were other fine examples of Bonsai here at Longwood Gardens. These are usually decades old.

What a cool choice for the theme!
Hope you’ll stop by if you get the chance –

Happy New Year!
It’s a fantastic shot.
I still have some great miniature “trees” around my house. Some with flowers and fruits. 🙂

I’m in love with this bonsai forest, Dianne!! I could pretend I was in Maine! LOL!
I’ve always been fascinated with Bonsai trees and love the way some people trim them. A few years ago Corey had gotten me a live Bonsai tree to take care of and I’m afraid it died on me after a couple of months. Sigh. Guess I have to learn how to take care of them! lol xoxo
That’s a beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing the definition of “aftermath.” I didn’t know the literal meaning. The funny thing is, I was wondering what it was.
Great take on the theme. I like that it is a successful ‘aftermath’. We love Bonsai but they are so much work. It takes a lot of patience and work. But they are beautiful.
Great take on this week’s theme. Thanks for stopping by my PH post! Have a great weekend.
What a fascinating photo!
