This is a wide view of our side yard taken by Brian, my husband, almost 4 years ago. I know exactly where he is standing-at the corner of the house. I have chairs near the holly bushes there in the summer-they are quite larger now. The tree on the right is one of two Chestnuts that we have-I have a love/hate relationship with them. We don’t have many trees that provide shade and they do. But they are the messiest trees around-they drop 3 things a year-catkins, burrs and then leaves. I wanted to keep with a winter feeling as it will be winter on the 21st.

Nice!!!
A view of what is to stay for a few months. Great photo and Happy Holidays.
I’ve heard that about them…what a wonderland your yard looks like!
That looks like a winter wonderland… It is even snowing on your blog!
That may be the only snow we get this Christmas.
What a lovely photo! I didn’t know that about chestnut trees. I will avoid planting them. I suppose that’s why they were always made into cabinets!!!
I did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you can visit, and leave your link.

What? No actual chestnuts?!? But you’re right – they do make this beautiful winter scene… 🙂

nice photo. I’ve been trying to explain to my husband (who grew up in San Francisco) what it looks like in the winter where I grew up (Buffalo). This photo helps illustrate that a bit.
Thanks for stopping by.
Beautiful picture! Thanks for dropping by my blog — yours is so cute. I love the lantern that you embellished. So cute!
Merry Christmas!
