So I went through the files and found an interesting thing:
The program from the Broadway Play
And the inside looked interesting. The actor who played ‘Benson’ on tv- Robert Guillaume, played ‘The Phantom’ at one time (not the phantom seen back in 1992). That phantom is spooktacular!
And a clipping from the local paper when they were setting up the theater for the show in Philadelphia. I heard that the director, Hal Prince was very close to the theater goers that night!
Look where I found the mistress of this blog, partying over at Pea’s Corner! My oh my! I heard she was dipping into the hard cider!

The program is beautiful and a real treasure. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Mary
Great post. Always love things from the Phantom. One of my favs.
I love the recent redo of the Phantom, it gives me
the shivers when I hear the pipe organ play!
What a wonderful collection.
Have a great week end.

Wonderful, just one wonderful show n tell. If at any time you get tired of it or want to throw this out….think of me sitting here who has never had the privilege of seeing the Broadway Play!! [color me soooo jealous]
My Show n Tell is shared. Come by if you can. And I added a comment link right below the end of my show n tell today, since it’s such a huge blog for Halloween. Gifts galore for all! If you stop by!!!
Awesome program! My daughter loves The Phantom of the Opera and we are hoping to take her to a performance soon.
cool! This was one movie I really enjoyed!
I remember the first time I heard Robert Guiallome (sp?) sing! I was blown away! I was used to him being the sarcastic butler and didn’t realize the voice he had! Yowza! Thanks for sharing!

I love the Phantom of the Opera. I saw it for the first time when I was 16 and went on a trip to New York with my drama group. We had 3rd row seats. I’ve seen it whenever I can since 🙂
I love Phantom, so much so that i saw it 4 times. lol! And I was lucky enough to see it with Robert Gillaume as well.

My boys went to see the play of Phantom of the Opera in Toronto with their class when they were in their teens and they both said how absolutely fantastic it was. I’ve only ever seen a couple of the movie versions…loved both!! xoxo
