Wow-this is so gorgeous! I haven’t been to this park in years and never knew it had such a pretty falls area. Brian and I went there for a few picnics when we were dating. This is about 10 minutes from Mom’s house and two of her neighbors use to jog there. The one had a stroke in this wilderness, and lucky for him, someone with medical training was jogging that day too and he was found. He was only around 60 (it was from a blood clot caused by an injury) and is in a nursing home.
Just looked at the link I provided and there is a formal gardens there too. I must go there sometime again.
People use to go to a springs area and collect water in bottles to take home. Not sure if they do that anymore. There were also a few log cabins to represent the Colonists who settled in this area.
I just found your blog via technorati.com.

Indeed, what a wonderful picture! It must be quite the treat for the eyes!
hi,
I noticed you have the song, Aint no mountain high enough, the Supremes, on your playlist.
Do you remember the show Designing Women?
well, one show, they are entered in a talent contest as the supremes, and Delta Burke does the song in blackface.
That was the funny part of the show.
The most touching part of the show, it was about SPOUSAL ABUSE. The ladies are trying to help a friend of Charlenes, and
in the end it comes together, and is quite touching.
THANKS FOR THE LINK TO THE PARK WEBSITE, I sent the link to my friend who arranges the trips we take
Don’t you miss John Denver, I loved his music, music to sing along too.
I am playing some of the songs from your list, Enya, John Denver.
Thanks for the link, Diane! I will have to go visit, I have never been to Ridley Creek.
Wow, that is just so beautiful!
