Close up of planter, originally uploaded by DianthusMoon.

I saw this awesome planter in a nice shady area when I stopped to rest at Longwood Gardens last week. It looks similar to a Aloe, but skinnier like the top of a pineapple. It has an unusual flower! I am bad about writing down names of plants (though this doesn’t look like it is marked), but I am glad I got a photo of this as it came in useful!
Here’s a long shot:

What a lovely plant π

Great catch for today’s theme, Mine’s up too…
With the points in that round urn, it looks like it could be a decorative pineapple sculpture. -grin-
I like that plant, it is a very unique piece.
WE had a few fireworks in the driveway too, with the grandkids.
Took all 5 bowling today. I took my 11 year old granddaughter to see Kit Kitteridge movie. Based on dolls, An American Girl, this was about the depression, very good story. The little ones went with Grandpa to see Wall-E. Grandpa said it was a good story, and taught the kids about polluting the planet.
We took the 2 boys to see Hulk movie the other day.
We will be here one more day, then head home on Monday.
God Bless America
