I recently was involved in a swap on Flickr and we were to alter Altoid mint tins. This is what I sent my partner. It is suppose to resemble a little suitcase with travel stickers on the outside. I used some real seashells and a little cocktail umbrella for the inside. I want to make one for myself. : )

You know, I did see the tiny little plastic cocktail monkeys in the “dollar store” section at Target. I bet those would come in handy for your tin projects if you were going to do a jungle theme.
