These are called ‘inchies’ and they are more or less, one inch square. They are a bit challenging to make, but I find there are teeny pictures in books that these are perfect for that wouldn’t work on the 2.5″ x 3.5″ cards that I usually do. These are cut up paint chips from Lowes and also a gold candy box band. Watch for more! I love miniature anything!
~~Zoey asked what I would do with these-I would think making similar themed ones for a picture or a greeting card would be neat. I read where people store them in those plastic coin holder pages. I keep the bigger cards in baseball card pages. I’d love to trade too.~~
That’s colored sand around the photo of the children, and the mini butterfly is part of a rubber stamp set I just bought at Michaels.

INCHIES HOW UNIQUE!!!
I love em.
I am in Georgia, we brought the laptop, as I hate being away from my computer for so long.LOL
I am going to one of my favorite clothing stores today, CATO, it is right around the corner from the hotel, and the kids will be in the pool, with their mom and grandpa on the sidelines.
We are taking the 2 boys to the movies to see the HULK, then out to Golden Corral for dinner. Tomorrow is the girls turn. I will take a bit of time to go to Steinmart too, which is in the same shopping center, I generally get something nice for the house there, maybe a piece of clothing on the clearance rack.
I had to laugh when you mentioned the kids at daycare getting you sick. The first year Dena did it, the same thing, then she would bring it home, and we would all manage to get some of it, yuck. We all seemed to have built up a tolerance now, and she is very strict about no sick kids coming to day care. But, sometimes, they come down with something during the day, so you can’t avoid everything.
Good luck to Sean….
Love the inchies! I wonder how many of these it would take to make a mile?!?!?
Hello dear Dianne:-)
Finally catching up with you! Omigosh, those inchies are just fabulous…I have no doubt it’s very hard to work with something so small but you certainly did a terrific job!
I can imagine your surprise when you saw those camels…we have a farm not far from here and they have bison, not something you see over here usually!
Glad to hear that Sean enjoyed his first day at work…please give him my best wishes:-) I’m sure it won’t take him long to get settled right in!
My favourite pizza is Hawaiian…Steve & I always order one as a night time snack when we’re gone on a trip. It’s our treat! lol xoxo
I’ve seen these elsewhere, but I’m sure I’d feel like my fingers were as big as trashcan lids were I to work on something so tiny. Yours look great!
Cute! What will you do with them? Do you just collect them or do you use them in some other project–like gluing onto a picture frame or something?
How neat to see a camel. I would certainly do a double take on that one!
That taco pizza sounded interesting. I bet I would like it.
