Pretty sure these are Monarch caterpillars eating milkweed. They have fuzzy hair though. It must be some kind of early stage flying critter! : ) The night before the group numbered 15 and only these 4 were there yesterday. Cute aren’t they?

We haven’t seen a single caterpillar this year, and fewer butterflies than normal. I’m wondering if it’s because of how much rain we’ve had.
