Finally a frame!

Standard

I did this little piece 3 years ago and put it away as I didn’t have a rectangular frame for it. On my Saturday excursion, I ran across a frame for a buck at the Goodwill. It was the perfect fit! I added some white out (I got yelled at for using it as it’s bad for you and it didn’t make me feel funny) to achieve a weathered look. I sanded some of it off and added varnish. I think it turned out well. All it needs is a hook on the back for hanging.

BTW, Bri did win a little down in Atlantic City and stopped as I reminded him to do so. I put it in the bank today. : )

  1. I thought it was pretty clever to think of white out! It looks great. As long as you don’t breathe while using it, you should be fine. All kidding aside, it probably is not good to breathe in the sanding bits that are sure to be air bound.

Brian won money at the casino? WAY TO GO!

You just reminded me of something I use whiteout for that i wanted to post about. I will try to remember to take a pic tonight and post about it.

  2. Wow, how lucky you were to find this frame that fit so perfectly!! Love how you finished it off too…wouldn’t have white paint worked just as well as the whiteout?? I always buy the little bottles of paint from the dollar store to have on hand whenever I need it for a small project. Well I’m sure glad that Bri won at the casino and knew when to stop! hehe xox
