It really is soupy outside! We need to cut the clovers (I hardly see any grass in the backyard), pull weeds and trim bushes. Last night we had a terrible thunder and lightning storm which knocked out my mom’s power until early this afternoon. Speaking of mom, Sean is going to get her after he takes the exam for his night class, which ends tonight. Mom hasn’t been here since January(!) and I want to take her to Longwood Gardens.

Mom misplaced her glasses and decided not to come out. We are looking to try again in the beginning of the week.

Hi, has been hot here too. Rain last night and tonight, has cooled things off for sleeping. We went out to a restaurant called Smoky Bones for my grandson Joe’s birthday. I had chicken with a dried cranberry, cucumber, sunflower seed salsa. It was deliscious.

It’s cooled right down here now and today we’re supposed to have a thunderstorm but then they’ve been saying that for the last 3 days and it hasn’t happened! In the meantime, I’m enjoying this cooler weather, it was wayyyy too hot for me. What a shame your mom couldn’t come out to visit you…hopefully she will next week. Your flowers are so beautiful…love that bee picture!! Thank you so much for identifying that weed for me…I think I’ll pull it out because I really don’t want that all over in my flowerbed! lol xox
