  1. My Grams had a flour sifter like that and I have such fond memories of her letting me play with it. Someday, if we ever move back to Maine, I want a big, old-fashioned kitchen where I can have stuff like this! 🙂

  2. My grandma had a sifter like that and I have one (not as old) like it. I bought it about 30 years ago as a young bride. I still sift flour when I make a home made cake (not very often ha ha). Love the cute little basket you found too

  3. Dianne, you remind me so much of my dear friend, Joyce, who loves antiquing, yard saling, thrifting, etc. and finds the most amazing things. I can go to the same places and just get overwhelmed by the chaos, but you and she zero in on the treasures. 😀

  4. Ooooh what two wonderful treasures you found…that sifter is such a find, I’d never seen one like that before! As for the sewing basket, it reminds me of one my mom had when I was growing up:-) xox

  5. Cool finds. I remember that stuff. In fact I have a sifter that looks very similar only n ot as old (no red wood on the handle). Are you using the basket for sewing supplies?
