Holy Toledo! I was in the dentist’s chair from 1-5 today! Dr Cutie Pie B. Oh yeah, he is cute!decided to ‘do it all’ in one visit. Every freaking corner of my mouth was worked on. The worst was left for the last-a crown was taken off (felt like like a lightbulb breaking in my mouth) to repair a cavity on a dead tooth under there. I have a temp crown until the 29th and I hope it stays on. I had 4 fillings and a chip fixed. I was shot up with Novacaine 3 times and also lasered (my poor gum under the crown had to be lasered away a bit along with two of the cavities). I just took Tylenol as my numbness is receding a bit.

Not to just talk about my own sorry self-My Uncle is in the hospital as he took a spill and hurt his hip. My Mom left a message here around 3 and that’s all anyone knows as we can’t get in touch with her. I’ll keep you posted.

~Update-My Uncle did fracture his hip and is having surgery tomorrow to repair it. He is so unsteady on his feet at times. I just hated leaving him last night. I’m wondering if he goes back to the rehab place? My mom told his stepdaughters (who live close to him) that she isn’t well and has her eye surgery coming up. I think even though UD hasn’t been nice to them lately, they will help for my mom’s sake.

Off to veg and watch the Golden Globes.

  1. Your family really is going through rough times, health-wise. Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope the surgery goes well, and that he’ll be on (both) his feet quickly.
And how are you doing? Do you have enough pain killers to get you through the day? I told you to beware of cute dentists! They’re just as evil as the plain ones…

  2. Good grief, Dianne! I can’t even handle 30 minutes in a dentist’s chair – I get some sort of claustrophobic feeling and find it hard to breathe. I also do not like good looking dentists. I get so self-conscious! So you’re a hero in my book!!

I hope your uncle will be okay. And your mom. Sending well-wishes your way!

  3. I hope you’re feeling better by now, Dianne. I went through a lot of dental work last spring, so I know exactly what fun it is NOT.

I now take VERY GOOD care of my teeth…I have floss in my purse, in my car, in my work desk, at my computer…I must floss three times a day. I don’t want to go thru all that ever again!

  4. I’m not good at flossing-I need to do it more, I know. The problem with me is always having a cough drop or something in my mouth. I’ll have to stick with sugarless gum I guess.
