My 1st professionally framed XS pieces

Standard

A Walk in the Woods
This has a pretty moss colored mat with a thread-like texture through it. The frame is a two-tone wood and has some of the maple color of what’s in the house. I will probably hang this in the family room. I realize this photo is a bit dark.

Cape May
This is off white and with a distressed look. I think it will go in the kitchen as it’s under glass like the first piece.
I went down to my mom’s although I am having some tummy issues. We went out to lunch, then to JoAnn’s and I came home. Well, I did make a brief stop at Borders and they had the JCS ’07 Ornament Issue. It has some cute designs. We ordered Chinese which may not have been a wise choice for yours truly as I have a burning tummy right now. Oy.

Hope your tummy feels better soon…not good having issues with the tummy.

  2. Both pieces look beautiful with their frames…isn’t it unbelievable how much it adds to the look when you get it professionally framed?!! Oh dear, I do hope your tummy settles down soon. xox

  3. Yay Dianne!
Love them both. I stitched the CEC sampler years ago, and my framing is very similar to yours. And of course, the Cape May piece is wonderful and special. Gotta love Cape May!

    Great job!

  4. Hi Dianne,
I am just getting around to reading everyone’s latest blog postings. Those pieces are just beautiful!

I really like the Cape May one. Ions ago husband #1 went to coast guard boot camp in Cape May, NJ. I never got to go there, but he always said I would just love the beautiful old homes on the shoreline.

I think the light distressed frame perfectly complements the lighthouse. I bet it will look great in the kitchen with your cobalt blue color scheme.
