I finally located my Belgium waffle maker after it was missing for many years. I almost ditched it for a new one, but cleaned it up and started using it again. I had a whole grain mix that just called for adding liquids which was fine, but nothing compares to a plump ‘real’ Belgium waffle:
You just don’t want to do this:
Which I did on the fourth one! What a mess. I forget that the tablespoon of baking powder will really make them rise and overflow. Plus I didn’ t want to make a fifth one!
Here’s the recipe from the Food Network site:

And the remnants of the much talked about snow:
Oh, you did get some snow! We left early Sat. morning and just got home a few hours ago, so I did not even know who got the snow. I only knew it was not us. 🙂
I had a waffle just like that for breakfast today! It was on a buffet where you can make your own waffle. I am sure they use some kind of mix. DH does not eat them, so I don’t make them at home, but every once in a while I like one with strawberries on top. Now what are the odds that we would both have one of these waffles today? LOL.
That really is a coincidence Zoey! I don’t know how anyone could not eat a waffle once in a while. I think I’ll make some dessert ones next.
The snow didn’t last past Sunday morning and now we’ve had a hard freeze, so buy to the flowers.
