Job hunting

Standard

I had that cool guy stamp and wanted to use him. He’s holding a paper, so I thought of what Sean’s been doing over the last few Sundays-buying the paper to check out the classified. I got a piece of that section, added it to the card and gessoed it a bit. The background paper is a neat find from Lancaster and the Liberty Bell is from a book of stamps.

I made some more cards on Tuesday since I didn’t have my car and it was again too snowy to walk around the yard. I did spot a mama deer who is lame (front leg) with her little one near the Blue Spruce out back. I took her photo in the same spot last week. Me just looking out the back door window startled her and she left. There were about 4-5 around looking for food. They ate a great deal of my holly bushes this year! Rats!

I have some errands to run much later (it’s 12:30 am here). I want to get Carole’s win in the mail. The cupboards are a bit bare too.
Brian had a brake assembly issue with his car. I guess that will start to nickel and dime us. The driver’s window is stuck closed, his dashboard is half lit, he had to take out his glove compartment as the latch broke and he has a broken back up light cover. And it has about 120k miles on it. Time for a newer one!

  1. Poor Sean, I do hope he can find something soon! There are so many people out of work and jobs are hard to come by, even here in Canada. That collage is perfect to represent what Sean is going through:-)

Thank you for the compliments about my ATCs, I’m really enjoying making them. I didn’t get a chance to do any today, instead I printed out a whole bunch of free collage sheets and such from online:-) Of course all to do with faeries! lol

It was a gorgeous sunny day here and 30F…anything over 0F is considered a heat wave right now! lol xoxo

  2. Sean is working, but at Walmart-not the ideal job as the hours are so bad. He hopes to start with the graduate program at the same college that Brian and I attended. Crossing fingers.
