Made these for my mom’s birthday-Martha Stewart Cupcake cookbook. The icing is burnt butter icing which makes the cake! Yum (A baker has to taste her goods). Highly recommend!

Paula Dean has an oatmeal cookie recipe with burndt sugar icing….I think it’s the best oatmeal cookie I’ve ever had. You are right – the burndt sugar makes all the difference.
