Photo Hunt-Anniversary

Standard

Nine years ago-September 11, 2001-Andrew Card leaned down to President GW Bush to tell him some shocking news-‘America is under attack’. The look on Bush’s face tells it all.
So on this anniversary-here are two American flags and one for Pennsylvania, photographed at Citizen’s Bank Park in Philly-July 2010. Living in this state with those planes overhead that day was not a pleasant memory. The plane meant for the White House went down not too far from where Sean went to college, though he was a Freshman in high school at the time around here. I will be thinking about all the people who lost their lives that day, including the captain (WTC) who lived in the same area as the school district where my family attended/s.

  1. At the moment it all happens nobody understood what really did go on – That’s something I allways have in mind.
As a foreigner with lots of family and friends in USA, well we do not like to be considered potensial terrorists every time we do visit.
I really hope Homeland security can come up with some form of prequalification in order to make it easier to visit our dear families and friends as well.
But I do understand the present security regime.

    Have great week to come;-)

    Greetings from Norway

btw. We will visit your great Country i December and as well in July next year…

  2. That’s a day that very few of us will ever forget. Yesterday I was looking at a video with pictures from the tragedy and I was just bawling, the years haven’t eased the sorrow and sadness I felt that day. xoxo
