Daisies are in my top 10 list of favorite flowers. Such a simple flower with no scent, but so pleasing to the eye. I like that I can see them in the dark when I look in the direction of the pond garden. I also like that they spread well. And why do I think of old-fashioned photos when I look at them?
Spent some time in my dreaded basement a couple of times over the last week. The plan is to have stuff to toss out every Friday. Brian started the ball rolling when he started tossing old eBay boxes. I use to sell a lot on eBay and still have a large table loaded with mostly books. I am holding a side some for a yard sale, but the rest are going to the Goodwill. I’m not sure it the dust or pollen got to me (or something I ate), but my allergies were especially miserable today-the post nasal was making me gag. I finally sneezed a huge one and I was better. I try and wear a covering over my face in the basement-yep-very dusty.
I heard from an old college friend on Facebook last night. It’s been 19 yrs and the baby she was expecting the last time we talked is having a baby. She’s also divorced. So that got me thinking of a mutual friend who had passed away at the age of 42 and I found her daughter on FB and said hello. Her mom was a sweetie-always included handwritten notes in the Christmas card-every year. How many people do that? She was so crazy about her family-her husband and two girls. She showed me how to make pasta once. Still miss her.
And we got rain-glorious rain-all day Saturday. I did a little in the basement that day and then played with acrylic stamps I found at the Goodwill when we dropped stuff off last week. Have you tried the stampers with the acrylic blocks? So neat you can see through them to stamp.
It’s raining again-to us that is great-no hauling watering cans around the different gardens. I still need to mulch!
Ah, rain sounds wonderful. I was hoping for some during the night, but did not get any. I like daisies, too. I just did a bouquet last night for my table.
Your sampler above is beautiful!
